Instructions
- Step 1
Find a gig and locate a local league, YMCA, church rec league, or afterschool program in need of volunteers
- Step 2
Apply as “coach”. Must go through all standard steps—background check, orientation, and pretending to know the rules.
- Step 3
Commit to a season and coach with enthusiasm. Must wear a whistle, make up drills, and refer to all players as “Champ” (optional)
- Step 4
Document the journey: Take team selfies, post “Coach’s Corner” updates in the fantasy group chat, and keep a journal of each chaotic practice.
- Step 5
Take your little rascals to the promised land of a championship trophy, or at least a participation trophy
- Ways to Spice it Up
- League picks the sport—bonus if it’s one they’ve never played (hello, youth lacrosse!).
- If the team wins a game, they must do a Gatorade bath
