Equipment
Instructions
- Step 1
Find a running track in your area, or identify a route where you can run your mile of hell.
- Step 2
Arrive at your destination. Identify where each ¼ mile marker is, and have a league member stationed there to be ready to hand you your refreshing beer of choice.
- Step 3
Ready, set, go! But wait…you must chug a beer before you start moving those legs. Down beer numero uno, and get moving!
- Step 4
Drink a beer at the 1/4. 1/2 , and 3/4 mile markers. Make sure you have a Beer Mile official (aka just one of your league mates) there to ensure that every last drop has been downed
- Step 5
Do your best to keep it all down, all that motion and all that liquid are not going to get along well
- Step 6
At the finish line, crack into beer number five! Perhaps your league will be there at the finish line to celebrate your run for the ages. Nice work, Usain Bolt!
- Ways to Spice it Up
- The league chooses the specific beer the Loser will be slugging back - more generous leagues might let you off easy with a light beer, but if you’re not a well-liked Loser you might be forced to inhale a couple of IPAs.
- For more extreme leagues, the league can also pick shots or full-on cocktails
