Equipment

  • Probably at least a few drinks.
  • A towel for your sweaty palms.
  • A camera to capture this momentous occasion, and perhaps some supplies for liquid confidence

Instructions

Time to Complete:

5 - 15 minutes

Cost to Complete:

Your pride

Punishment Location:

The local comedy bar or stage that let's pretty much anyone on stage

Step 1

Find a spot in your area where you can sign up to perform your set. Look for open mic nights, comedy cellars, poetry readings, or any place with a microphone and a halfway decent sound system.

Step 2

Sign up! Invite your league to the live event as soon as the date is confirmed.

Step 3

Start working on your routine. It can't be ripped from some skit you saw on Netflix, you must tap into your inner comedian and start writing. Again, you can have your league come up with your routine but idk if I would trust my league mates to not bring up that one time you did something embarrassing in public. You have been with your league for too long and you definitely don’t want them to bring up that one thing.

Step 4

Acquire any of the necessary props, who knows you could have a hidden ventriloquist talent and become the next Jeff Dunham! The odds are low, but following the wisdom of Justin Bieber, “Never Say Never”.

Step 5

Make sure your cameraman is managing the live-stream video. It would be nice to have it begin before you actually go onstage. Catching all those behind the scenes scared- shitless moments (perhaps you’ll even throw up a little). And even if the audience thinks you suck, no worries… you are guaranteed to get big laughs from your league mates, and bragging rights forever!

Step 6

Now get out there and kick ass!

WAYS TO SPICE IT UP
  • Your leaguemates write part of your routine and you’ve got to follow it to a tee.
  • Second-to-last joins in on the fun and takes the role of your ‘opener’ to get the crowd warmed up.
  • Invite the loser's ex (or exes) to the performance.
