Instructions

• Step 1

  • Identify a real position the Loser can legally run for — bonus points for obscure or hilariously minor offices

• Step 2

  • The Loser must officially file to be on the ballot (or at least declare their candidacy if filing isn't feasible).

• Step 3

  • Design a real campaign logo and slogans, and announce their candidacy on social media.

• Step 4

  • The Loser must participate in at least one local event — farmer’s market, town hall meeting, neighborhood BBQ — shaking hands, kissing babies, etc. Will they be like a real politician and make promises they’ll never keep, or will they drive real, impactful change all in the name of being a Fantasy Loser.

• Step 5

  • Win or lose (spoiler: lose), they must post results with a concession speech thanking the electorate for their support. If you win, wow – congrats on the new gig I guess?

• Ways to Spice it Up
  • Create lawn signs to place around town for your candidacy
  • Every member of the league gets a “Vote for [Loser]” button to wear proudly all season.
