    A fancy restaurant (or pizza place) that is willing to serve you and your date dinner.

Instructions

  • Step 1
    • Book a table at your town's nicest dining establishment, we are talking $$$ or more on Yelp! (Monday nights are usually the quietest at restaurants, so management may be more flexible when considering the booking of your upcoming humiliation. But, you can downgrade your restaurant, as needed, to get the restaurant's approval.)
  • Step 2
    • Hang up your sweatpants and dust off your finest suit that you only wear to special occasions for this momentous event. Lululemon joggers do not count as dress pants!
  • Step 3
    • If your league opted for a blind date, then you can skip this step. If not, then when you order your date from Amazon (as specifically chosen by your league mates), make sure they are dressed appropriately!
  • Step 4
    • Head to dinner, and be sure to open all the doors for your date and pull out their chair for them (using tape or rope as needed to keep them upright).
  • Step 5
    • You MUST order appetizers, entrées, and of course your date will want dessert, for both you and your date. And much like Joey Tribbiani…so you will have to order individual items for yourself and your date.
  • Step 6
    • Make sure you smile and wave to your cameraman! Pics and videos should be sent to your entire league, live from the restaurant, so everyone can fully participate in the evening, just as if they were there too.
  • Step 7
    • Lastly… enjoy your evening! If the conversation seems a bit one-sided, boring, and there are lonnnnnng awkward silences, on this particular date you can definitely be sure it was her, and not you!
  • Ways to Spice it Up
    • Your league chooses your date night outfit. You can dress your date as you please.
    • You can do a blind date, where your league sets you up with your date for the evening. We are talking about a real live person (helps if the loser’s significant other approves this add-on). Use your creativity to make this the worst date in history!
