Call for desperate losers.

The Seahawks clinched a playoff spot with an improbable win tonight. And it was against the Rams, who had already clinched a spot, along with the Broncos.

And then there are the pathetic losers who have already - and many for a while now - been eliminated from the playoffs. 13 of them. We won't waste any words on them.

A handful of teams have already clinched and will soon talk about resting players. A handful are officially done and evaluating youth (read: tanking). But there’s a big middle class - teams right in that meaty part of the curve at 7–7, 8–6, or clinging to the final wild card spot. And those 16 teams are playing desperation football.

This week rewards managers who roster players whose NFL season is still alive - guys who have to play hard, have to win, and have to produce. Each team can pick at most 3 of those players, which have to be chosen in advance of the Sunday games. You might have plenty of guys on those teams to choose 3 from, and you might only have 1 or 2. But either way, pick your up to 3 players and submit to the Commissioner before Sunday kickoff.

No multipliers. No gimmicks. Just pressure.

- Option 1
  Desperate Loser
  You lost the desperation challenge, and that makes you a desperate loser. So let's lean into it. Loser of this week's challenge has to go on a date and use whatever life story that the league crafts for him. As pathetic as they want it to be. And yes, you have to do it even if in a relationship or married. But don't be a dick - make sure you partner knows ahead of time.
- Option 2
  Desperate Bet
  You can't seem to win when you use your brain to make decisions, so now you're going with luck. Loser has to make a $100 bet on behalf of the winner, and he has to pick the bet by closing his eyes and pointing to one on a list of bet options.
- Option 3
  Desperate Move
  If you lose this challenge, you lose your best player. If you're a keeper league, you CANNOT keep your player who has the most fantasy points this year. If you're not a keeper league, you cannot draft that same player next year - even if they're around well past their ADP.

  You Devious Dog, You
  Loser has to drop at least one player from a team out of NFL playoff contention.

While I haven't gotten it yet, I'm told that old man strength is real. And Philip Rivers is gonna need it.

At 44, he's given credibility to every drunken idiot in the bar talking about he could totally start in the NFL. Last week he was stretching before going to the bathroom, and now he's stretching before shitting his pants in the pocket. While not every 40-something should make a comeback, we'd deal with Brady doing it if it meant we wouldn't have to listen to him call games.

This week's challenge is for the old heads. Anyone on your roster over 35 years old gets double the points - just like twice the the number of colonoscopies per year and twice the vitamins taken per day. You’re betting on pure veteran savvy. The power of life experience. The guys who have seen every coverage, outlasted every rookie, and might be fathers to a few of them.

The Stakes

- Option 1
  Old Man Strength Test
  You may not be old, but if you list this challenge, you're gonna at least pretend to be. The loser must dress as an old man - as believably as possible - and go through an entire day as such. Ride the scooter in the grocery store, take 12 minutes to cross the intersection, drink prune juice, and call any and all people under 70 "sonny".
- Option 2
  Old Man Bet
  A good old fashioned bet. A bet that is so boring that it can only be classified as old school. The challenge loser must make a $44 (or $440) bet for the winner that is ONLY focused on rushing yards, touchdowns, or wins and losses.
- Option 3
  Old Man Roster
  Lose this challenge, and you lose your youth. For the next week - if you have one (and if not, it goes for Week 1 next year) - you must start at least one 30+ year old player at QB, WR1, RB1, and TE.

  You Devious Dog, You
  Lose the challenge, lose your sanity. If you lose, any and all players in your league that is older than you can steal away a player from you for the rest of the season. If you're the oldest in the league then the youngest player gets to steal 3 players from you.

Week 14 is one of the ~~most bullshit~~ trickiest weeks for fantasy with four NFL teams on bye. While the Giants aren't a fantasy juggernaut, there are a ton of fantasy stalwarts on bye this week from the Patriots, Panthers, and 49ers.

It sucks. But this is where fantasy managers earn their bragging rights. After having gloated about smartly drafting Maye in the 12th or picking up Rico Dowdle on waivers, now is the time to show your real skills by replacing them in the most important fantasy week of the regular season.

It's a bye week buy week. Points count this week ONLY for starting players you added this week to fill in. If you've got CMC on bye and added Devin Neal, that's your guy. Or if you spent $7 adding Kirk Cousins to replace Draye Maye, then Kirky boy is your boy. Team with the most fantasy points from bye week replacements wins. Team with the fewest loses.

  This is not the week to lose if you value things you own. The loser of this week's challenge has to provide a white elephant gifting to each player in the league. Those players get to enter the loser's home and each take home one of his possessions, starting first with the challenge winner. 'Tis the season of giving.

  Bye Week Buy In
  The loser of this week's challenge funds the challenge winner to enter an online poker tournament, with a buy in of at least $100.
- Option 3
  Bye Week Botch
  If you lose this week's challenge, you better like your roster because you have to start this exact roster again next week. Byes, injuries, suspensions - whatever - if they play Week 14, they play Week 15.
- Option 4
  You Devious Dog, You
  Winner of the challenge gets to steal a player from the challenge loser's team - no questions asked.

Week 11 was all over the place. But while last week's challenge was all about the air game, we got a reminder that old school ground game isn't to be forgotten.

5 RBs topped 30 points in PPR leagues. 23 RBs had at least 10 points. And 30 of 'em had double digit carries.

Dudes came out of the woodwork to make the names Rodriguez, Gainwell, Tucker, Tuten, and 47 Williamses not only known, but must starts.

So with the league going run-heavy, we’re grounding this week’s challenge too. It's all about the RB ground game. Rushing stats only.

  Grounded
  If you a lose a ground game challenge, you yourself are now grounded. Just like you had in your teen years, your keys have been taken away. Commute to work? Take the bus. Need to get groceries? Take little Timmy's tricycle. No matter where you need to go, for a full week it won't be in a car. And yes, that includes Ubers and taxis.
- Option 2
  Running Debt
  Losing this challenge will hurt the wallet. Starting this week and until you win a weekly challenge, you must put $50 into a pot to go towards a Super Bowl bet on behalf of the entire league - except you. So if you lose another 3 weeks before winning a challenge, you make a $200 bet on any Super Bowl-related prop. Don't win another challenge all year? The juice is running.

  Ground Your RBs
  Losing this challenge will hurt, a lot. And that's because you didn't give the ground game the attention it deserves. Because you disregarded how important the RBs are, you're now not allowed to start either of the RBs you started this week in Week 13. Shouldn't have lost.

  Losing a ground game challenge is going to ground your season. Quite literally. Lose this challenge, and regardless of your record, you're relegated to missing the playoffs this season.

Air travel is... challenging lately. While TSA and the FAA have had their challenges ~~funding~~ managing the skies, the LA teams have not skipped a beat through the air.

Week 10 gave us a masterclass in aerial excellence over by LAX. Matthew Stafford threw four touchdowns to pass 400 career TDs, cementing his place among the NFL’s all-time greats - a gunslinger who was instrumental in one of the only ever win-win trades in NFL history. And Keenan Allen made franchise history as the ~~San Diego~~ LA Southern California Chargers’ all-time leader in receptions.

Together, those two longtime ballers reminded us that great offenses are built through the air. So this week, we’re funding our own air traffic control challenge with a QB to WR connection. This week's challenge is about air yards and TDs from those positions.

  Missed Connection
  This week's loser must perform a dramatic breakup with... someone, something. It can be a fake breakup with their girlfriend, their job, their dog - whatever - but it must be dramatic, and public. Bonus points for the more absurd. Breaking up with your favorite bar in front of the bouncer and everyone waiting in line? Solid.

  Record-setting Bet
  There must be some sort of record about to be broken this week, and if so, you know there's a prop bet with odds on it. The loser of this week's challenge must lay down $402 (a dollar for each Stafford TD pass) on one of those lines, with the winner reaping all the benefits if it wins.

  Record-crushing Roster
  If you lose this week's challenge, you lock in your QB1 and WR1 until playoffs start. Might wanna make sure you pick guys without a questionable tag, or you might end up with a donut for the next 3 weeks.

The NFL trade deadline made more than a few fans cry. The Jets decided to continue losing for even longer. The Cowboys essentially traded Micah Parsons for Quinnen Williams. Basically, more of the same nonsense from the NFL.

Some teams made bold moves to save their season - others stood pat and hoped for the best. Sound familiar? That’s you, fantasy manager who kept meaning to send a trade offer, or, more likely, fantasy manager who sent the TreVeyon Henderson and a 2026 11th rounder for Jonathan Taylor offer.

It’s Week 10, and while the NFL’s deadline is over, yours isn’t. You’ve still got one more chance to make a move.

This week’s challenge is all about movement. To win, you’ve got to prove your front-office prowess - not with just points, but with transactional skills. So whether you’ve been dealing like Howie Roseman or hoarding like Bill Belichick, Week 10 will reveal who’s a wheeler and who's watching their key assets rapidly be sucked dry. Any player acquired in a trade AND in your starting lineup gets their points doubled. Team with the most total fantasy points, including the bonus, wins. Team with the least, loses.

  Deadline Disaster, Part 2
  Your team might have botched the trade deadline, but it'll be nothing compared to that deadline you're gonna miss at work. Loser gives the league 5 work deadlines they have coming up, and the league picks which deadline will be missed, and the excuse that the loser must, with no smile or admission of guilt, pawn off as the true reason for the missed deadline. Let's not get anyone fired, but let's also not let them off easy.

  Compensation Pick
  The loser must send the winner $50 as a compensatory pick price, with the contingency that it must be spent on a moneyline bet in Week 10.
- Option 3
  The GM Freeze
  The loser is banned from making any trades or waiver pickups for the next two weeks. Their team is officially frozen, which might actually be a favor to them.
- Option 4
  You Devious Dog, You
  The loser must drop one starting player (who has started the past 4 weeks for the loser, not including byes) of the league’s choosing, announced publicly in your group chat with the caption, “We couldn’t make the numbers work under the cap.” Added twist - that player cannot be picked up by anyone in the league for the remainder of the year.

While Freddy Kruger, Michael Myers, Chuckie, and Mark Sanchez are all people you want to avoid seeing in a dark alley, something even scarier is needing a Monday Night Football player to win you your week. Waiting for Scary Terry to be healthy again is scary, but nothing is scarier than needing your defense to win you a match up - watching their points pinball down with every score against, and back up with every sack or INT.

With Halloween this weekend, we're theming the challenge with just that - living in fear of your defense being the difference. So it's defense vs defense this week, but with a twist - your total defense score of your rostered defenses wins, and that includes a D/ST on your bench. Give up on Scary Terry McLaurin (he's not coming back) and pick up an extra defense - the more you have, the better.

  Halloween, The Sequel
  Loser of this week's challenge must dress in a witch costume all NEXT weekend - the weekend after Halloween. He can not bring his kids as an excuse or tell people he has to do it. He must own the fact that he is dressed in a costume well after it is socially acceptable.
- Option 2
  Scary Bet
  The loser of this week's challenge must lay a bet for the winner, but there's a twist - if the bet LOSES, you must then pay the winner what the bet would have paid out. So if you bet $100 and it loses, you have to pay the $100 bet AND $100 to the winner.
- Option 3
  Roster Nightmare
  As scary as losing a fantasy matchup is, what's scarier is having to start a bottom 5 defense. And if you lose this week's challenge, that's exactly what you must do. Based on your platform's scoring system, you MUST start an available bottom 5 defense next week.

  The loser of this weekend will be living a nightmare moving forward. For the rest of the season, every time your D/ST gives up a TD, they get a -50. Better to leave the D/ST slot empty? Maybe so.

With just 2 of the top 15 scorers in Week 7, WRs may not have been the ones to carry you to victory, but they were the reason you didn't lay an egg. 34 WRs finished with 10+ points in one-point PPR formats - 10 more than any other position - so it's high time to load up your lineup with WRs.

In our annual flex your flex, this week is all about points for WRs slotted into the flex position. It's flex vs flex in this challenge, but points ONLY count if that flex position is filled with a WR.

  Whether you're a baller or not, this week you have to be. Loser of this week's challenge has to drop a prop bet on the challenge winner's flex player for next week, and we recommend the bet be the amount the loser earns on average in a week. If you ain't overextending your funds, you ain't flexing.
- Option 3
  Flex Your Mess
  Whoever you are, you have something on your roster you are worried about - probably a player you can't quit, but should - but this week you're putting that mess in the flex position. Loser of this week's challenge has to let his matchup opponent choose which uninjured player on his roster slots in at the flex position.
- Option 4
  You Devious Dog, You
  Loser of this week's challenge can ONLY start a WR in the flex for the remainder of the season, including playoffs, if he somehow manages to get in. If you have more than one flex slot, they all have to be a WR.

It was a weekend of teams fighting for wins on the field, coaches fighting for their jobs, and people fighting on and off the field for... misplaced need for respect? Aside from the fact that it'll cost them money, it can also cost their teams a chance to win moving forward. So if the NFL feels their conduct was worthy of a suspension or fine, who are we to argue?

Points for any player who has been suspended or fined this year, for any reason, are zeroed out if they're in your lineup. And then based on that, the team with the most points in their starting lineup, minus those offenders, wins. The team with the least points - possibly because they started a few bad boys - loses.   Fun Suspension
  Lose this week's challenge and you're suspended from anything fun through Sunday night. Whatever you like to do - golf, work out, read, watch movies - whatever - is not allowed. And since it runs through Sunday night, that includes all Sunday NFL games.
- Option 2
  Fantasy Fine
  If you lose this week's challenge, you are fined for terrible performance. You can choose to either pay a $100 fine to the league's seasons-end winner pot, or make a $200 bet on any Lions defense prop.
- Option 3
  Fantasy Suspension
  If you lose this week's challenge, you are suspended from making any roster changes from Tuesday 10/21 9am local time zone until after the games are over for Week 8. No starting lineup changes, no trades, waiver or free agent adds. Nada. Yes, it means you have to set a roster Tuesday morning and hope it would be the one you'd want to field come Sunday and Monday.

Of the top 25 PPR scorers for Week 5 (per Yahoo), eleven of them were owned in less than 80% of leagues. Nine in less than 60%. Seven in 40% or less. Heck, even four of them were owned in 10% or less of leagues. These sleepers were studs, and deserve to be started.

While we rewarded the Boring and the Beautiful earlier in the year, we're focusing this week on managers who take some chances and start those less expected studs. So go ahead - start Mac Jones and AJ Barner. This week, it's a challenge of sleepers - any player owned under 60% of leagues. Team with the most total points from players owned in <60% of leagues, wins. Team with the fewest points from those sleepers, loses. And yes, it's total points, so it pays to start as many as you can.

  Sleep It Off
  Just when you thought losing was bad, now you have to go to your kid's sports game and fall asleep. No, you don't have to drug yourself to be asleep, but you have to pretend to be asleep and pull it off without telling anyone or laughing about it. They have to believe you, and our suggestion is a total of 5 mins combined sleep while there (in case someone keeps waking you up). Don't have kids? That's worse, because now you're the guy sleeping at a little league game where you don't even know any of the children.
- Option 2
  Don't Sleep on This Bet
  Loser of this week's challenge must lay a bet for the winner featuring an over bet on a sleeper hitting their yardage over/under. Doesn't matter who - it can be a bet for a guy whose over/under is 4 yards.

  Sleepy Roster Management at Best
  Loser of this week's challenge must start a sleeper (<60% owned) at QB, RB1, WR1, and DEF/ST in Week 7's lineup.
- Option 4

  Loser of this week's challenge can never start a QB for the rest of the season who is not a sleeper. That's streaming a <60% owned QB until they're out of contention.

Let's not have a knee jerk reaction here, but rookies are taking over. Week 4 was a banner week for rookies, and now even more are being added to the fray for Week 5. Woody Marks. Jaxson Dart. Cam Scattebo. ~~Shedeur Sanders~~. Dillon Gabriel. Emeka Egbuka. TreVeyon Henderson. Omarion Hampton.

These rookies are no rookies. But even the youngins need a little bump in confidence. And points. For any rookie players that you start, their points are worth double. Team with the highest starting roster point total with 2x rookie bump wins. Team with the lowest loses. Get those rookies in your starting lineup.

  Loser of this week's challenge has to lay a $100 bet for the challenge winner on a 6-leg parlay bet involving all rookie player prop bets.

  Loser of this week's challenge MUST start at least 3 rookies in their roster next week. This does not include their DEF/ST - individual players only.

Whoooooooooooooaaaaaa nelly, 5 field goal blocks and 5 special teams return TDs in one weekend? Do we even see 5 of each in a good month? Special teams is usually the butt of a joke, and rarely gets its due. And even then, it's for game-winning 64 yard kicks and return TD highlights.

But not this week.

This week, special teams are truly special. This week, the ST in D/ST - or better yet, ST/D (scratch that) - is more than carrying its weight as we're tacking on extra points for all of the unheralded things they do. In honor of 5 field goal blocks and 5 return TDs, we're adding 5 or 10 to every special teams category.

If you already give 4 points for a FG block, now it's worth 14. If special teams return TDs are worth 6 for you, now they're worth 16. Return yards as 25 yards per point? Now 25 yards gets you 6 points. You get the idea.

  Go to a local football game - at least high school age, please - and chant "BLOCK. THE. KICK." anytime there's a kick of any sort. Bonus points if you do it at other random times throughout the game, confounding the other fans and parents.

  A Special Bet for a Special Loser
  Loser makes a $55 bet on the over/under for total # of blocked kicks/punts and/or special teams return TDs. Loser makes the bet, winner claims the winnings if it hits.
- Option 3
  Last Starts Last
  Loser of this week's challenge has to pick up and start the lowest-scoring kicker and D/ST from Week 4 in their Week 5 lineup.
- Option 4
  You Devious Dog, You
  If your kicker has a kick blocked, OR your D/ST gives up a return TD, their fantasy points for your team drops to -10 total. Not 10 points lower - they go from whatever point total they have, down to a value of -10.

That was a bad week, from head to toe.

With injuries to (from head down) Justin Fields (concussion), Jayden Daniels (knee), J.J. McCarthy (ankle), ~~Sean McVay (plantar fasciitis)~~, Joe Burrow (turf toe), Brock Purdy (turf toe), it was a bad day to be a playcaller - the effects of which can be felt reverberating throughout the league.

Mac.
Wentz.
Oof.

It may sound like the second-coming of The Village People, but there are three top 15 picks in there - including two 2nd overall. If any of these guys play Week 3, we need to give their skill players a little love. With the guys they're stuck with throwing them the ball, receptions for any player on those 5 teams will be hard to come by and are now worth 3 points - regardless of whether you are a PPR league (you are now!). That counts for WR, RB, TE - whoever catches a ball from these backups gets rewarded 3x in honor of Week 3.

  Break a Leg
  There may not have been a broken leg last week, but you're about to put in your best George Costanza performance by pretending to have injured your toe while working out. Death, taxes, and starting 0-2 in fantasy leads to missing the playoffs. These are the only certainties in life.

We told you not to lose the first matchup. No matter what happens this season, you simply cannot lose again to start 0-2. It is the one rule in fantasy. In life.

Go 1-13 - who gives a shit - but win at least one of the first two weeks. At 0-2, give up. The season is over, there's no recovering. Life will unravel. You'll gain weight. Get dumped. Fired. Disowned. Bankrupt.

Earthquakes. Famine. Locusts. Four horsemen. All because you started a Chicago Bear.

This is the week to play it safe. And since week 2 still involves a lot of unknowns - rookies, players who changed teams, teams with new coaches, holdouts, etc - we're giving extra points to players who play it safe. There are the Scrooges and Marleys of the world, and there are the Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tims of the world. And lately in the NFL, there are the Lamar Jackson and Jared Goffs of the league and then there are the ghosts of fantasy relevance past.

In week 15, three QBs had over 40 points. And seven, who played significant time, had under 10 points (Levis, Winston, Purdy, Geno, Tua, Stafford, Cousins) and another seven under 15 points (Kyler, Russ, Caleb, Ridder, Darnold, Bryce, Richardson). So for every QB that had over 40, we had almost three who threw an absolute dud.

‘Tis the season of giving, so we’ll be taking from the richest and giving to the poorest QB performers when they need it most. For any QB under 15 fantasy points, their points are automatically doubled. For any QB over 30 fantasy points, subtract 5 fantasy points.

Fantasy team with the best adjusted QB score this week wins. Team with the lowest adjusted QB score this week loses.

In this season of giving, take a moment to give to the lesser fantasy managers and their lesser QB options. And with this week’s formula, yes, the loser may end up the winner and the winner may actually end up the loser.

Kickers are so much better than they used to be from range - 71% this season from 50+. That was <20% in the 90’s. In fact, since 2003 the 50+ makes have gone from 48 in total to a projected 184 this season. And this season kickers are a crazy 4 of 11 from SIXTY plus.

Let’s kick back, to the 90s, when accuracy mattered and distance wasn’t even in the conversation. This week, inaccuracy is absolutely penalized with extreme prejudice.

In the midst of listening to Collinsworth drool over Josh Allen’s muscles, smile, fiancé, and wardrobe, it reached a crescendo on the snowy SNF play pictured above where Allen passed to and then ran in a lateral from Amari Cooper for a TD. Absolutely absurd play in classic snowy conditions, but then there was the Collinsworth reaction (“Come on Mike, give it to him”) 😮🤦‍♂️. But the real drama came when fantasy leagues called that a passing touchdown AND a rushing touchdown for Allen and awarded double points on the same play. Clearly, getting credit for two TDs on one play is kinda BS. But guys who are true dual threats are not.

Huge props to the real dual threats out there. Anyone who can score a TD in several ways gets our respect, so we’re repping the dual threat players this week. It’s simple - if a player has a TD in more than one way (e.g. rushing and receiving or passing and rushing) then they qualify as a real dual threat, and their points would then be counted. Fantasy team with the most real dual threat player fantasy points this week wins. Team with the least real dual threat fantasy points this week loses.

Take on Saquon. He went for 302 all-purpose yards last week, and while we don’t expect any one of your guys to do that, let’s see if TWO of your RBs can combine to do what he did himself last week. How ‘bout them Cowboys! And by Cowboys, we’re talking about the only two Cowboys worth their spit this year. Without CeeDee Lamb and Brandon Aubrey the ‘boys would likely be in line for relegation to the CFL. Even with Jerry sabotaging the field surface under Aubrey’s plant leg and a piece of the stadium’s roof falling off, which we can only assume was meant for CeeDee, these guys have been fantastic in spite of a pitiful situation.

Since the Cowboys are trainwrecking with only two functional players, let’s see if you can win with just those positions. We’re talking WR1 receptions and kicker field goals this week in a simple formula. The team with the lowest combined WR1 receptions and kicker field goals made loses. The team with the most combined WR1 receptions and kicker field goals made wins. If there’s a tie, the kicker with the longest kick this week wins it for his fantasy manager.

During week 9 of the NFL season, the clock is turned back an hour, but the NFL seems to have turned back the clock five years. MNF displayed Russ back to his cookin’ ways. Heck, these days even Dalvin is somehow back cookin’ in Brandin’s roster spot. So we at FL decided to cook something up ourselves. With David Montgomery as our inspo this week with his absurd stat line (Passing: 1/1, 3 yds, 1 TD. Rushing: 9 carries, 33 yds, 1 TD. Receiving: 1 rec, 5 yds), we’re going beyond fantasy points to focus on the stats behind the point.

While he did find paydirt twice, we’re more impressed with D-Mont gaining yardage every way except the return game (why not let him return a punt, Danny?). Meanwhile the bottom half of 2024 QBs at that point included Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, Brock Purdy, Aaron Rodgers, Trevor Lawrence, Deshaun Watson, Kirk Cousins, and Justin Herbert.

JK Dobbins has come back from injury better than ever. He's the first Chargers player to rush for 100 yards in each of his team's first two games of a season. With 27 carries for 266 yards and 2 TDs, he's on pace for a billion fantasy points.

Gus Edwards, on the other hand, not so much. Inexpicably outcarrying Dobbins 29 to 27, Gus the Bus has plodded his way to 85 total rushing yards for a gaudy 2.93 yards per carry.

But, in reality as in fantasy, you've gotta play 2 RBs, so this week its all about your RB room. Team with the most RB points, wins. Teams with the least, uh oh.

To be fair, Penix Jr, Maye, and McCarthy didn't play, but they also couldn't beat out Kirk Cousins or Jacoby Brissett. We're talking about more torn meniscus than TDs in week 1 from the first round rookie QB class.

- Option 1
  Play Like a Rookie
  This week's loser has to join a pickup game and absolutely blow it. The week 2 winner gets to pick the sport and the pickup game location, and the loser has to join the game and act like he's playing for real - but suck worse than a rookie. At least one game is required, or until you're run off the court by your teammates.
- Option 2
  Rookie Mistake
  This week's challenge loser has to make a $20 suggested bet on behalf of the winner, but it has to be the worst bet possible. We're talking a 7 game moneyline parlay, picking only the underdogs. If it hits, huge $$.

2023 was a rough year for a few guys with high high hopes. AR (the Rodgers version) lasted 4 plays. AR (the innacurate version) made it 4 games. Joe Burrow for just 4 whiney rants. Will they rise from the ashes like a phoenix to guide their teams to the Super Bowl in ~~Phoenix~~ Vegas? Time will tell, but these guys - in addition to others like Hockenson and Chubb - have our attention as we enter fantasy draft season and league kickoff.

Week 1 is all about clean slates. Fresh starts. Intact ligaments.

Each team can choose one QB from their roster to play at QB1 and the team who chooses the QB1 with the biggest increase in week 1 2024 fantasy points vs that same QB in week 1 of 2023, wins. And no, that QB didn't have to be on your roster last year too. For example, Aaron Rodgers' 2024 Week 1 fantasy points minus Aaron Rodgers' 2023 Week 1 fantasy points, which, as we all know, was his Achilles heel.

Team with the player with the lowest increase (or, worse, a decrease) from week 1 of 2023, loses. And yes, playing a rookie QB makes a ton of sense. So does possibly promoting your QB2 for the week.

  Return of the Whack
  That's you, big boy. The team with the lowest increase in points for their QB1 has to do a 30 second freestyle at an open mic night. League picks the bar and night for maximum attendance. If the player had a decrease in fantasy points, they have to do it fully kitted out in their best rapper attire, chosen by the week 1 winner, of course.
- Option 2
  Return of the Greenback
  If the loser of this week's challenge won any money in the 2023 season, they have to return it to the league. We recommend adding it to the week 2 challenge pot, but you can disperse it evenly if preferred, or add it to the season's pot. If the player didn't win any money in 2023 (shocker), have them add $50 to the week 2 challenge pot or pay a buddy of his choice's league dues for this season.
